Over at LCI: "Why You Needn't Be a Pacifist to Oppose the Military"
A new article of mine published over at another website.
The Fourth of July just passed us by a few weeks ago, as did Memorial Day before that, so thoughts of America and military service are fresh on many of our minds. The boost of patriotic sentimentality that also followed what happened on July 13th could also be noted. In addition, I found myself some time ago with a text message from an Army recruiter. Both of these events inspired me to put to pen some thoughts concerning biblical wisdom and the intersection with patriotic ideals and notions of American militarism. The article was accepted and published by the Libertarian Christian Institute, who I tend to send these more political and social commentary-type articles to.
